This position is intended to funtion as an internal locum to provider intermittent coverage at various primary care clinics within the organization.
The Advanced Practice Professional (NP-PA) provides comprehensive family medicine services within the scope of training and experience to people of all ages and genders. In addition, depending upon the location and needs of the particular community served, the Provider participates in shared after-hours emergency call coverage. Medical care provided is consistent with SEARHC policy and procedure, Medical Staff Bylaws, and nationally recognized medical standards of care.
Four week long Resident Elective Rotations are available in Sitka, Juneau, Prince of Wales Island or Haines.

Provide administrative support to program staff and management. Position functions within the Behavioral Health Division as the front desk receptionist. Employee will greet, perform registration, and schedule appointments for all IHS beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries who receive mental health services.

Continually multi-tasking works with some independence in completing assigned projects/program management. This Behavioral Health Case Manager position supports adults and/or children and families with, or at risk of developing, serious emotional, mental, and or substance use disorders. The Case Manager is responsible for managing an assigned caseload to assess, support, advocate, and coordinate community resources that assist toward stabilization, independence, and recovery.
Salary Range:
$31.11 – $40.99/hr.
This position provides a variety of treatment services including individual, group, family, and marital therapy to any and all clients from birth to elder. This position also provides clinical services such as intake/diagnostic evaluations, case evaluations, and crisis intervention; as well as acts as a liaison with other agencies as required. This position is a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team and provides regular clinical supervision, ensures proper maintenance of clinical records in accordance with insurance regulations and established SEARHC policies and procedures. A clinician ensures that clinical productivity standards as established and followed. This position is available for after-hours in person Crisis Interventions for clients through our Hospital Emergency Room or Police Department or by phone as needed at any SEARHC location within the Behavioral Health Division.

This position performs psychiatric emergency services for the community of Sitka and for Mount Edgecumbe Medical Center and provides phone/video consultations for local medical staff and patients in surrounding rural villages such as Kake, Angoon, and Hoonah. This position also provides clinical services such as intake/diagnostic evaluations, case evaluations, and crisis intervention; as well as acts as a liaison with other agencies as required. This position is a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team and provides regular clinical supervision, ensures proper maintenance of clinical records in accordance with insurance regulations and established SEARHC policies and procedures. A clinician ensures that clinical productivity standards as established and followed. This position works 7 days on (24x7), 7 days off and will be available for after-hours telephone contact for clients in crisis.
There is no specific responsibility to managing an operating budget. As a clinician the financial responsibilities lie in documenting all services as outlined first and foremost in the code of ethics of the profession. Clinicians maintain records necessary for rendering professional services to their clients and as required by laws, regulations, or agency or institution procedures. Clinicians include sufficient and timely documentation in their client records to facilitate the delivery and continuity of needed services. Clinicians take reasonable steps to ensure that documentation in records accurately reflects client progress and services provided. If errors are made in client records, clinicians take steps to properly note the correction of such errors according to agency or institutional policies, proper documentation is a requirement to ensure that SEARHC is able to bill accurately for services provided to client in accordance with state, federal, and insurance rules, laws and regulations. This position is a covered position in accordance with the Indian Child Protection Act (ICPA).

The Clinical Assistant-III performs all of the job duties of the Clinical Assistant II, in addition the Clinical Assistant-III applies a more extensive knowledge of medical practice and terminology and judgment based on greater clinical experience. The more technical duties of the Clinical Assistant III require a higher level of training, competency or specific certification. CA III must process provider orders pertaining to diagnostic tests, referrals and other patient data that involves non-routine problems, timely and accurately.
The Clinical Assistant III provides care to infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, adults and elderly in an ambulatory care clinic. This position is essential in maintaining efficient clinic operations and patient flow in order to maximize the provider’s time and to insure access to care. Clinical Assistants perform administrative duties, data management and handle basic clinical tasks. This information is recorded in patients’ chart along with patient’s medical history. This position works closely with providers giving support such as rooming patients, performing Point of Care Testing (POCT), start and administer IV fluids and provide immunizations and other injections within the scope of practice certification, ECC monitoring and defibrillation, answering phones, processing provider orders data entry and participation in training processes. Must be able to make independent decisions within scope of practice based on experience and good judgment and be self-starting and require little guidance to keep busy.

This position specializes in developing, promoting, and providing relevant Alaska Native culturally based therapeutic healing activities, including individual and group counseling services for clients of all ages experiencing behavioral, emotional, mental, and substance use related disorders. This postion also performs additional clinical services such as intake/diagnostic evaluations, case evaluation, case management, and crisis intervention; as well as acts as a liaison with other agencies as required for continuity of care. This position is a memeber of an interdisciplinary treatment team and ensures proper timely documentation and maintenance of clinical records in accordance with established SEARHC policies and procedures and insurance billing requirements. The clinican ensures that established productivity standards are followed and maintained. Where applicable, based upon location, this position is available for after-hours in person crisis interventions.

Facilitate delivery of dental services by assisting the dentists with direct patient care (infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric) and the day to day operation of the Dental Clinic.

The Health Educator II is a member of the SEARHC Health Promotion team and will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating evidence based and promising health education strategies, interventions and programs as well as serve as a health education resource person. Specifically this position addresses policy level interventions that improve the likelihood of population health. This position also works on chronic disease risk factors in group settings and one-on-one lifestyle coaching in partnership with SEARHC providers. These services are provided to individuals, small groups, and communities in the SEARHC region and may include presentations to larger groups of community members and/or Tribal leaders. This position is responsible for developing work plans for similar programs, providing measurable outcomes and overseeing program goals and objectives for single regional programs or multiple programs in a single community.
This position requires multiple trips within the SE region and occasional trips within the State and/or Nation. The regional trips may require travel in a small plane. The Health Educator needs to be available to offer consultation, advocacy and implementation of programs during non-traditional hours, i.e. evenings, weekends; high comfort level is necessary with irregular work when required and intense pressure to meet deadlines. This position manages the radiology program for Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center (MEMC). Assesses and monitors on-going staff training and competency. Develops and monitors radiology quality improvement activities. Coordinates with other Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center and SEARHC departments as appropriate. Makes recommendations on capital purchases.
