This position functions within the nursing department to assist patients and medical staff within the ambulatory care setting by providing a variety of nursing services to all ages (cradle to grave) of patients.   This position works within a nursing team which consists of RN’s, LPN’s, and unlicensed clinical assistants.  They are responsible to perform full assessments, prioritize patient needs and patient flow, and perform skills and coordinate care as ordered by providers.  In addition, the RN is expected to use critical thinking to work within standing orders to expedite care patient services. As necessary, the RN may work in other nursing roles, so that departmental functions are covered on a daily basis. Performs duties in a responsible, respectful and caring manner to promote effective relationships.
