The Infection Prevention & Control Registered Nurse (IPCRN) is responsible for the surveillance, analysis, interpretation and reporting of healthcare associated infections (HAI); monitoring reportable conditions, educating employees about infection prevention; and the development of health system policies and procedures to insure rigorous infection prevention and control standards that meet Joint Commission, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Centers for Medicaid/ Medicare Services (CMS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Federal Drug Administration (FDA), and other nationally recognized agencies and evidence based infection prevention and control practices. Ensures timely reporting of infection prevention and control measures and outcomes based on CMS requirements.   The IPCRN is responsible for providing infection prevention and control education to all areas of SEARHC. The IPCRN plans, develops, and implements a comprehensive consortium wide, infection prevention and control program. Sets goals based on risk assessments, evidence based practices, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements in collaboration with the Infection Prevention and Control Committee. Conducts evidence based research to determine appropriate actions by collecting, analyzing and interpreting data. Facilitates and supports the process of educating staff, patients, and visitors on matters of infection prevention and control.   The IPCRN works in collaboration with the entire Performance Improvement team and is cross trained to assist in the department needs. The IPCRN reports to and takes direction from the PI Project Manager RN.   This position qualifies for a $50K Sign-on Bonus and Relocation!! Salary - $38-$46/hour DOE

This position is assigned to the SEARHC Mobile Unit providing primary care medical nursing/lab services. This position primarily provides immunizations/vaccines, lab work, medical support, community outreach, and coordination of services on the Mobile Medical Unit working with a primarily under-served population, and those experiencing homelessness.  This position is based at Front Street Clinic a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (integrated behavioral health & primary care), and will be asked to provide clinic medical support services when the Mobile Medical Unit is not in service.   This position functions within the Front Street integrated care model to assist patients and medical staff within the ambulatory care setting by providing a variety of nursing services to all ages  of patients (cradle to grave).    This position works within an integrated care team which consisting of RN’s, Clinical Assistants, Behavioral Health Clinicians, Primary Care providers, and various social support providers.  This position serves a population of patients experiencing chronic and acute medical and behavioral health problems, substance abuse, and homelessness. They are responsible to perform full assessments, prioritize patient needs and patient flow, and perform skills and coordinate care as ordered by providers.  In addition, the RN is expected to use critical thinking to work within standing orders to expedite care patient services.
