This position provides a variety of treatment services including individual, group, family, and marital therapy to any and all clients from birth to elder. This position also provides clinical services such as intake/diagnostic evaluations, case evaluations, and crisis intervention; as well as acts as a liaison with other agencies as required. This position is a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team and provides regular clinical supervision, ensures proper maintenance of clinical records in accordance with insurance regulations and established SEARHC policies and procedures. A clinician ensures that clinical productivity standards as established and followed. This position is available for after-hours telephone contact for clients in crisis when needed and as assigned; in addition to providing clinical support in person or by phone as needed at any SEARHC location within the Behavioral Health Division.   There is no specific responsibility to managing an operating budget.  As a clinician the financial responsibilities lie in documenting all services as outlined first and foremost in the code of ethics of the profession. Clinicians maintain records necessary for rendering professional services to their clients and as required by laws, regulations, or agency or institution procedures. Clinicians include sufficient and timely documentation in their client records to facilitate the delivery and continuity of needed services. Clinicians take reasonable steps to ensure that documentation in records accurately reflects client progress and services provided. If errors are made in client records, clinicians take steps to properly note the correction of such errors according to agency or institutional policies, proper documentation is a requirement to ensure that SEARHC is able to bill accurately for services provided to client in accordance with state, federal, and insurance rules, laws and regulations.   This position is a covered position in accordance with the Indian Child Protection Act (ICPA).

The purpose of this position is to provide customer service and support for desktop systems and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading desktop software, hardware and peripheral equipment. Responsible for assisting with Help Desk activities by receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user help requests.   This position is a high paced, stressful job requiring extensive work with computer systems and the staff that use these systems. Immediate, careful attention to various systems is required to keep them operational. Constant exposure to new and varied systems and concepts require a high level of concentration and retention. Constant attention to detail is required. Varied and multiple problems are addressed simultaneously, with constant interruptions often resulting in additional work requests. Most work is accomplished within a time deadline. Tedious eye to hand tasks are often required. At times required to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds, work in a computer cold room, under office desks, behind book shelves and other confined locations. This position will clean desktop equipment including PCs, printers, and network equipment. Occasional overtime, night time and weekend hours required. Occasional (2-3 times per year) rural travel required.

The Ambulatory Nursing Director also works to align all nursing staff with goals and objectives as well as the mission, vision and values of Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC).         The position also functions as the consortium-wide point person for clinical support and functions. The incumbent works closely with the Vice Presidents, Medical Directors and Clinic Administrators to improve clinic functions and flow, enhances the patient experience, and ensures staff training and competency.   Position Complexities   The position assumes a primary responsibility for leadership and development of clinic nursing staff.  This includes administrative support, programmatic development and continued quality improvement. The candidate provides direction for professional development of clinic nursing staff, supports operational improvement aspects of clinics in collaboration with the Medical Directors and Clinic Managers. Works cooperatively and closely with all department heads and staff to promote improved patient and staff satisfaction and quality care. The role of the Ambulatory Nursing Director is heavily matrixed and requires a high degree of clinical nursing knowledge as well as leadership and the ability to influence change and collaborate with multiple departments and teams.   The position works within very fast paced clinical settings.  The incumbent must be able to physically move quickly through the environment, at a quick pace, stand for long periods of time, have the ability to bend, stoop, climb and move to the floors.  The incumbent must be able to follow complex directions, multi-task, and solve problems quickly and accurately.  The incumbent anticipates the needs of others and seeks help when appropriate. This position also requires crisis intervention skills, and effective oral and written communication skills for working with and advocating for clients.  This position needs to know how to respond to and refer a client who is in crisis, in regards to their mental and medical health.  This position is also responsible for screening, assessing, diagnosing, referring, counseling, and documenting all aspects of a patient’s treatment needs.  This position supports SEARHC’s Vision statement, “To improve the health status of Native people in Southeast Alaska and other partners to the highest possible level,” by providing chemical dependency screening, assessment, diagnosing, referring, and counseling interventions to individuals for the reduction or cessation of substance abuse and/or dependence.   Hours are 5:30 am - 2:30 pm Monday - Friday and rotating Saturdays
