The Clinical Assistant II provides care to infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, and elderly in a rural ambulatory care clinic. This position is essential in maintaining efficient clinic operations and patient flow to maximize the provider’s time and to insure access to care. Clinical Assistants perform administrative duties, data management and handle basic clinical tasks that are more complex that the Clinical Assistant I, such as performing nebulizer treatments, cast removal, DM foot screenings and other procedures per competency assessments. This information is written in patients’ chart along with patients’ medical history. This position works closely with providers giving support such as rooming patients, point of care testing as ordered, answering phones, processing provider orders, data entry, and participation in training processes.
$21.32 - $29.85/hr depending on experience and certifications.
Hires, trains, supervises, and maintains certification records for dental assistants. Initiates ongoing performance improvement activities and develops processes for workflow efficiencies for dental assistants. Is responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities and duties of the dental assistants, provides staff training, and completes annual performance evaluations. Works in full capacity as a dental assistant during the day-to-day operation of the dental clinic.

The Imaging Trainee Assistant is a training/orientation position to develop the knowledge, skills, abilities, tools, and critical reasoning to reduce the learning gap in anticipation of becoming an Limited Scope Radiology Technician (LSRT) or registered imaging technologist. The Imaging Trainee Assistant performs diagnostic examinations for assigned patients to gain experience that establishes a basis to guide practice and provide safe, quality care with supervision and guidance from experienced staff.
The Imaging Trainee Assistant incorporates theoretical knowledge into clinical situations and is able to perform basic skills and assist registered technologists. Practice is under the direct supervision of a registered imaging technologist, referencing policies, procedures, and standards.
This position is located in the Operating Room (OR) Department of the Surgical Department of the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC). Surgical specialties include: General surgery on adult and pediatric patients, Endoscopy, Otolaryngology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Urology, Dental, Plastic and Vascular.
The Surgical Technologist is an integral part of a team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to patients in a variety of settings. The main function of the tech is fulfilling the role of an assistant to the surgeon. The surgeon relies heavily on the tech to do their job correctly including following sterilization procedures while also being able to handle requests that are made during the surgery.
Salary: $27.89-$37.00 per hour, DOE
