The Radiology Senior Office Specialist maintains work flow of patients checking in, scheduling, managing the phone, and greeting anyone who presents in radiology.  Does various receptionist duties along with scheduling patient exams, tracking down physicians when there is a question with an order, sends reports and images to various locations when requested, assist referral care coordinators, staff, and physicians in obtaining necessary information for patients.   Works collaboratively with staff, radiologist, and director in streamlining the scheduling of patients.  Assists in maintaining the referral queue and assist in prioritizing what exams need to be protocoled by appropriate staff.    Works in multiple computer systems such as PACS, RIS, and EHR systems.  Maintains a cohesive plan to deliver improved processes and patient care.  Fulfills tasks associated with scheduling patients to the appropriate exam, sends and receives pertinent information about patients in order to make a better the patient experience.

Edgecumbe Hospital on an assigned shift basis.  The Shift Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who has been hired as a Staff Nurse in a department within Mt Edgecumbe Hospital (MEH), and has shown by experience, knowledge, behavior, and job performance ability to fulfill the duties of the Shift Supervisor.  Nurses are selected for participation in this role by the members of the nursing leadership team and are scheduled to act in the Shift Supervisor role on a rotating shift-by-shift basis.  The Shift Supervisor Nurses will continue to fulfill their FTE requirements by working shifts in their hiring department.

This position provides a variety of treatment services including individual counseling support to any and all patients from birth to elder as part of the social services department. This position provides clinical services such as intake/diagnostic evaluations, case evaluations, and crisis intervention; as well as acts as a liaison with other agencies as required. This position is a member of the hospital interdisciplinary treatment team and provides direct brief inpatient and outpatient counseling, ensures proper maintenance of clinical records in accordance with insurance regulations and established SEARHC policies and procedures.   This position adheres to the organization mission and provides sound chemical dependency/mental health clinical care and interventions to individuals and families.  This requires: - Ability to provide clinically sound treatment services based on client needs and treatment plans. - Demonstrated understanding of diagnostic evaluation methods, mental status exams, and use of the DSM-IV. - Ability to respond to a range of clients’ needs using differential diagnoses and treatment approaches. - Ability to provide appropriate crisis intervention services. - Ability to maintain clinical records in timely compliance with State, Federal and agency policies and procedures. - Ability to work collaboratively with other community agencies on behalf of clients and/or SEARHC. - Demonstrated understanding of sound ethical practice in conjunction with the established and defined ethics of one’s training, discipline, and education/license level. - Ability to effectively organize time, responsibilities, and accomplish task by established deadlines and timeframes. There is no specific responsibility to managing an operating budget.  As a clinician the financial responsibilities lie in documenting all services as outlined first and foremost in the code of ethics of the profession. Clinicians maintain records necessary for rendering professional services to their clients and as required by laws, regulations, or agency or institution procedures. Clinicians include sufficient and timely documentation in their client records to facilitate the delivery and continuity of needed services. Clinicians take reasonable steps to ensure that documentation in records accurately reflects client progress and services provided. If errors are made in client records, clinicians take steps to properly note the correction of such errors according to agency or institutional policies, proper documentation is a requirement to ensure that SEARHC is able to bill accurately for services provided to client in accordance with state, federal, and insurance rules, laws and regulations.   Clinician III supervises subordinates. A supervisor has the responsibility and authority to hire, train, evaluate and discipline subordinates.   Clinician I-II leads other persons. A lead assigns and checks work, trains and schedules subordinates on a daily basis and performs the same or more difficult duties performed by the subordinates.

This position is based in the Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center Rehabilitation Services Department with a primary focus on providing general Speech - Language Pathology (SLP) evaluations and treatments which impact patient’s functional abilities. Performs in a professional manner, respects confidentiality, and demonstrates qualities endorsed by following the Seven Standards for Service Excellence outlined in the SEARHC Human Resources Manual.  Services are to be provided in compliance with hospital standards, Joint Commission Home Health regulations, Alaska state licensure requirements, regulatory and practice standards of SLP and the national professional guidelines established by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.   Speech - Language Pathologists  are health care professionals responsible and accountable for patient assessment, evaluation,  establishing a plan of care and theraputic interventions for a wide range of ages with widely varying diagnosis and skills needs who present with a full spectrum of movement abilities, dysfunctions and complexities. The clinician needs to be able to inform clinical teams regarding decisions that involve SLP therapy while taking in consideration consultation provided by other care providers.  As patients are seen, recommendations may be made regarding their level of independence and rehabilitation needs which may impact services, care placement and further treatment.  The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for the contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.  Documenting and processing interventions appropriately must be followed for continuity of care and reimbursement for services.    The position requires occasional travel off site and out of town to provide services outside of MEH.   This job can involve working in a small space, at a demanding pace, with a variety of people and sometimes difficult personalities and situations; good judgement, tact and personal skills are necessary for positive working relationships between patients and co-workers.  This job involves potential risks that the Therapist must work to avoid to the extent possible.  Exposure to infectious organisms is possible; use of precautions and appropriate protective equipment is necessary.  Latex may be present in the work place.  The job may require repetitive or heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds, with  physically demanding movements and positions; practice of good body mechanics and good judgement is necessary.  Services may be provided in a variety of settings including in-patient, out-patient, off-site locations, communtity events, home visits and remote locations.  There may be  occasional  travel to remote areas by boat or plane for multiple days, possibly in harsh weather.  This job is a covered position in accordance with the Indian Child Protection Act.
