Interacts with employees, patients, families, and visitors appropriately and professionally. Using excellent communication skills, the Screener will screen all visitors, patients, vendors and public entering SEARHC facilities. The Screener will identify patients, provide masks, exhibit confidence with providing instruction to visitors on hand hygiene and proper replacement/storage of cloth masks during visit, ask screening questions and take the temperature (forehead) of anyone entering the facility. Screeners will provide directions and general information regarding services.   You will be provided the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and social distancing will be adhered to. We will provide education and training on our protocol, equipment and COVID-19 policy and procedures.

Our dentists on Prince of Wales Island work in a beautiful 5 chair clinic in Klawock providing dental services in an out-patient setting. They also travel out by car to our more remote communities to provide care.   Living and working in Alaska is an amazing adventure.  Many people visit Alaska, but very few people can say that they ever lived here.  The scenery is amazing and the opportunities for outdoor recreation are unlimited.  Southeast Alaska is a temperate rain forest.  We get lots of rain and good winter snow most years, but the temperatures are mild year-round - rarely below 10F in the winter or above 75F in the summer. We boast fantastic hiking, fishing, wildlife watching, boating, camping, hunting, skiing, and more!

Environmental Service Worker provides a dual role including light maintenance, preventive maintenance and environmental service work. Decisions and recommendations are typically limited to following policies and procedures already in place and direction from the immediate supervisor. A clinician ensures that clinical productivity standards as established and followed. This position is available for after-hours telephone contact for clients in crisis when needed and as assigned; in addition to providing clinical support in person or by phone as needed at any SEARHC location within the Behavioral Health Division.   There is no specific responsibility to managing an operating budget.  As a clinician the financial responsibilities lie in documenting all services as outlined first and foremost in the code of ethics of the profession. Clinicians maintain records necessary for rendering professional services to their clients and as required by laws, regulations, or agency or institution procedures. Clinicians include sufficient and timely documentation in their client records to facilitate the delivery and continuity of needed services. Clinicians take reasonable steps to ensure that documentation in records accurately reflects client progress and services provided. If errors are made in client records, clinicians take steps to properly note the correction of such errors according to agency or institutional policies, proper documentation is a requirement to ensure that SEARHC is able to bill accurately for services provided to client in accordance with state, federal, and insurance rules, laws and regulations.   This position is a covered position in accordance with the Indian Child Protection Act (ICPA).
