  This position is located within the Operating Room of SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium. Has knowledge in circulating and scrub tech duties for all types of elective and emergency cases performed, including abdominal, thoracic, Urology, ENT, Plastic, Orthopedics, Vascular and OB/GYN. Multi-tasks efficiently and ensures the surgical cases proceed throughout the day in a timely manner. Utilizes after-hour call services, to staff the Operating Rooms (OR), for nights, holidays and weekends. This position oversees the day-to-day requirements of Utilization Management & Review, authorizing acute and sub-acute admissions at the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (“SEARHC”) Mount Edgecumbe Medical Center. This position works intensively with advanced systems to track and trend denials, build models for documentation improvement plans, and coordinate with all areas and levels of the hospital. This position works closely with the provider community to improve clinical documentation, and with administration to ensure appropriate utilization of hospital resources.   Under general supervision, provides professional assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and reporting of complex clinical data. Maintains compliance with regulations affecting utilization management. Provider communication and behavior change can be challenging; this individual must be a master communicator and change agent. Clinical background required, as this position will be required to read, rapidly synthesize, and narrate a clinical event to patients’ third-party coverage for accurate and timely authorization and reimbursement. Must be able to understand and manipulate advanced systems and work with and synthesize large relational data sets, providing descriptive/predictive/prescriptive analytics to modify facility operational behavior.   $41.83-$53.45/hr DOE

This position functions within the Outpatient Department to assist patients and medical staff within the ambulatory care setting responsible for the overall operation of the Clinic. This position is located at The SEARHC Opioid Treatment Clinic in Sitka. Must be willing to work early morning hours: M-F 6:30a-3:30p with rotating Saturdays 6:30a-10:30a. May provide support to other SEARHC Behavioral Health programs.   Maintains skill sets, annual competencies, certifications, and participates in in-services and educational programs within the Clinic, hospital, and/or community as assigned; completes all mandatory training; attends and participates in staff meetings; adheres to infection control policy and procedures. Position Summary This position is based in settings where both positions—Rehabilitation Aide (RA) and Activities Aide (AA)—exist. The RA/AA provides a broad array of duties within an activity program that meets physical, mental, psychosocial needs and interests of residents. This employee performs in a professional manner, respects confidentiality, and demonstrates qualities endorsed by following the seven Standards for Service Excellence outlined in the SEARHC Human Resources Manual. When functioning as an RA this employee supports rehabilitation services providers in their care of SEARHC patients by facilitating patient flow within the rehabilitation department. Responsibilities include ensuring the clinic space and individual treatment rooms are clean and well stocked, assisting providers with transitioning patients in the clinic, and assisting as directed with therapeutic exercise and other modality treatments. Responsibilities may additionally include assisting the office staff as directed by answering telephones, scheduling appointments, completing patient registration, and checking patients in. Rehabilitation Services is a core service provided by SEARHC.   Salary is $19.85 + DOE   Position Complexities This employee is required to multi-task while demonstrating excellent customer service skills. This job involves potential risks that the Aide must work to avoid to the extent possible. Exposure to infectious organisms is possible; use of precautions and appropriate protective equipment is necessary. Latex may be present in the workplace.   The RA/AA works to understand residents’ needs and uses resources within the department to facilitate the scheduling process, assuring both resident care and department efficiency. This employee remains current in software interfaces. The RA/AA models professional customer service to both residents and providers and ensures a positive working environment. The Aide must be well organized, efficient with their time, and able to coordinate many activities.
