Location: Sitka with regular travel to Klawock   New Opioid Treatment Program Opening Soon in Klawock, Alaska!    Klawock Hours: M-F, 6:30am-3:30pm, with possible rotating Saturdays.   General Description: - The position functions within the Behavioral Health Division to provide clinical psychiatric care and addiction medicine for SEARHC patients, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of substance use, mental, and emotional disorders.  The physician manages integrated medical care for patients participating in the Sitka and Klawock Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP), Sitka Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program, and provides general psychiatry services based out of Sitka.  The position requires regular travel from Sitka to Klawock for patient care and OTP oversight.  Services are primarily outpatient in nature but may include consultation-liaison and emergency department support in some locations.  The physician works collaboratively with the Clinical Director for Addiction Services to provide addiction medicine expertise and medical staff leadership.  The physician is an active member of the interdisciplinary behavioral health team.

The Residential Support Specialist (RSS) position functions within the SEARHC Behavioral Health division to provide direct support services for clients of SEARHC residential substance use disorder and behavioral health programs. Duties and responsibilities include maintaining and monitoring the safety and security of the facility and the program residents and direct supportive engagement with residents to provide services, support and structure that fosters a pro-recovery environment. This may include supervision of daily living activities and facilitation of therapeutic activities and groups.   This position requires an understanding of basic interventions that are effective in the treatment of substance use and/or mental health disorders. This position also requires crisis intervention skills, and effective communication skills for leading educational groups and activities with the residents. Residential Support Specialists must be able to engage in moderate physical recreation activities that support recovery.  SEARHC residential programs are residential living environments with 24-hour staff. Work schedules vary and may include rotation on evenings and weekends.   As an entry-level to intermediate-level direct service position, the RSS position requires a commitment to ongoing professional development in the areas of behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment and recovery. Each RSS will have a professional development track, based on individualized professional development needs. In addition, the RSS will be engaged in a SEARHC-funded, State of Alaska approved, Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) certificate training program.   Salary Range: $22.74/Hr. - $26.06/Hr.
