Under the supervision of the Clinical Educator the Nursing Assistant Trainee will provide general nursing care in Acute Care/Long Term Care to non-acute and/or acutely ill patients/residents while maintaining a safe and clean environment.   Must have the ability to react in a calm functional manner and make sound judgments within scope of duties when taking care of ill patients/residents and in the event of emergencies. Job requires the use of a Hoyer lift patients/residents who are non-ambulatory on a regular basis.  Mentally requires a caring attitude in dealing with both acute and non-acute patients/residents and families on a routine basis.  Job pace is rapid and there is constant pressure on the job to complete staffing assignments and answer patient/resident call lights. Maintain accountability for all actions taken. Accept delegation from supervising Registered Nurse.  This position is covered under the Indian Child Protection Act.

The primary function of the PSA is to provide 1:1 patient monitoring, consistent with their training, of identified at risk patients requiring direct supervisor or increased monitoring. The goal is to improve patient safety and decrease negative outcomes.   Salary: $16.18-$18.39 per hour, DOE

The OB/Labor & Delivery Nurse performs a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments, and ability to work independently in completing assignments.  Guidelines include physician’s orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, hospital policies.  Nursing duties include support to individuals of all ages and their families during their ante partum, post-partum, laboring stages, newborn baby care, and care of post-surgical C-section patients.   Utilizing after-hour call services, holidays, and weekends. On Call responds to all emergencies including trauma and fetal distress C-sections including total peri-operative nursing care.  Able to react in a calm manner and make sound nursing judgments in an emergency environment. Clinical decisions are made initially independently during the scheduled shift; maintains complete accountability for all actions taken.  Consults with the appropriate manager/supervisor in difficult situations requiring additional input. Accountable for proper delegation and supervision of CNA/Tech, LPN, Ward Clerk and/or PCE on unit during shift.   SALARY: $41.83-$48.61 per hour, DOE

This position functions within the Outpatient Department to assist patients and medical staff within the ambulatory care setting responsible for the overall operation of the Clinic. This position is located at The SEARHC Opioid Treatment Clinic in Sitka. Must be willing to work early morning hours: M-F 6:30a-3:30p with rotating Saturdays 6:30a-10:30a. May provide support to other SEARHC Behavioral Health programs.   Maintains skill sets, annual competencies, certifications, and participates in in-services and educational programs within the Clinic, hospital, and/or community as assigned; completes all mandatory training; attends and participates in staff meetings; adheres to infection control policy and procedures. Maintains a clean and safe working environment including adequate supplies and upkeep of unit and equipment, reporting any defective or missing equipment and safety hazards; refers un-resolved problems with patients/coworkers/visitors to department manager or administrative manager for resolution; addresses employee concerns consistent with Human Resources Policy.    Salary: $36.68-$42.57 per hour, DOE
