The Clinical Assistant - III performs all of the job duties of the Clinical Assistant II, in addition the Clinical Assistant-III applies a more extensive knowledge of medical practice and terminology and judgment based on greater clinical experience. The more technical duties of the Clinical Assistant III require a higher level of training, competency or specific certification. CA III must process provider orders pertaining to diagnostic tests, referrals and other patient data that involves non-routine problems, timely and accurately.   The Clinical Assistant III provides care to infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, adults and elderly in an ambulatory care clinic.  This position is essential in maintaining efficient clinic operations and patient flow in order to maximize the provider’s time and to insure access to care.  Clinical Assistants perform administrative duties, data management and handle basic clinical tasks.  This information is recorded in patients’ chart along with patient’s medical history.  This position works closely with providers giving support such as rooming patients, performing Point of Care Testing (POCT), start and administer IV fluids and provide immunizations and other injections within the scope of practice certification, ECC monitoring and defibrillation, answering phones, processing provider orders data entry and participation in training processes.  Must be able to make independent decisions within scope of practice based on experience and good judgment and be self-starting and require little guidance to keep busy.

The Operations Manager will work alongside the respective Clinical Director and management team to lead the region. The Operations Manager will be assigned as the project lead and trainer for initiatives management pushes forth. Other duties as assigned.   The Operations Manager exhibits good judgment and administrative skills for effecting positive changes and delegate’s responsibility to appropriate managers and staff.  This position assures patient-centered health service delivery of the highest possible quality.

This role supports integration of Health Promotion into the Primary Care Clinics to achieve maximum impact on Population Health Management.  This position also manages and supervises the SEARHC Home Health program which includes maintaining and reviewing financial, personnel, contractor, workload and professionals’ credential information and files and ensuring successful credentialing and survey. The Health Promotion Director coordinates other SEARHC managers in accomplishing SEARHC strategic initiatives, performs, coordinates, and/or arranges special projects and programs. This role interacts with the SEARHC managers and other division directors on behalf of the Health Promotion Division, works on access to care issues, prepares and edits reports and correspondence from the Health Promotion Division to the Executive Management Team, Accreditation Governing Body (or other committees of the SEARHC Board) and patients.   This position requires highly developed management and public health skill sets. The incumbent must manage multiple and complex budgets, clinical, paraprofessional and professional employees dispersed over a geographical region the size of Florida, and interface on a regular basis with tribal, state, and national partners and authorities.

The Infection Prevention & Control Registered Nurse (IPCRN) is responsible for the surveillance, analysis, interpretation and reporting of healthcare associated infections (HAI); monitoring reportable conditions, educating employees about infection prevention; and the development of health system policies and procedures to insure rigorous infection prevention and control standards that meet Joint Commission, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Centers for Medicaid/ Medicare Services (CMS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Federal Drug Administration (FDA), and other nationally recognized agencies and evidence based infection prevention and control practices. Ensures timely reporting of infection prevention and control measures and outcomes based on CMS requirements.   The IPCRN is responsible for providing infection prevention and control education to all areas of SEARHC. The IPCRN plans, develops, and implements a comprehensive consortium wide, infection prevention and control program. Sets goals based on risk assessments, evidence based practices, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements in collaboration with the Infection Prevention and Control Committee. Conducts evidence based research to determine appropriate actions by collecting, analyzing and interpreting data. Facilitates and supports the process of educating staff, patients, and visitors on matters of infection prevention and control.   The IPCRN works in collaboration with the entire Performance Improvement team and is cross trained to assist in the department needs. The IPCRN reports to and takes direction from the PI Project Manager RN.
