Job Overview:

Provide shuttle-driving services to and from SEARHC facilities and other authorized locations.  

 

This position is located in downtown Juneau at the Front Street Clinic Opioid Treatment Program. The hours are M-F 5:30a-2:30p with the ability for additional hours on Saturday mornings.

Responsibilities:

  • Displays and maintains the highest level of customer service and professionalism to patients and staff.
  • Drives customers to and from SEARHC facilities for appointments.
  • Uses good judgment and safe driving skills.
  • Keeps a timely shuttle route.
  • Assists passengers getting in and out of vehicles and assisting with loading wheelchairs, strollers, luggage, etc.
  • Uses phone (with hands-free device) to communicate with passengers and other drivers.
  • Keeps a record of trips including names of passengers and destination or pick-up point, pick up, and drop off times.
  • Notifies lead of any servicing the shuttle vehicle may require such as oil changes, tires, cleaning, and general maintenance.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Assures shuttle vehicles are clean and inspected at the beginning and end of every shift.
  • Offers passengers an opportunity to complete a satisfaction survey.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Unrestricted, current Alaska driver’s license

 

Experience:

  • 3-6 months experience as shuttle driver or similarly related customer service field or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of customer service principles
  • Knowledge of local road system(s)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

 

Skills in:

  • Skill in operating a computer, utilizing a variety of software applications
  • Skill in using a database

 

Ability to:

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to respond quickly in urgent situations with attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve and use conflict resolution skills

Computer Skills: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
