We are looking for a positive addition to our world class Critical Access Hospital. Our Sonographers play a vital role in providing the best-in-class quality patient care in a hospital setting with inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department cases. We perform OB, abdominal and vascular exams. In addition, we have a robust cardiovascular program where we perform Echocardiography, Contrast Echoes, Stress Echoes, strain, and bubble studies.

 

$39.18/hr - $50.06/hr, DOE

$25K Sign On and $10K relocation

Responsibilities:

  • Performs diagnostic imaging using ARDMS protocols for the following exams: OB/GYN; abdomen; pelvic and endovaginal; small parts including breast, thyroid, and scrotum; vascular, including DVT, arterial legs, carotids. Receives patients, explains procedures, and selects appropriate equipment to ensure good patient care.  Echocardiography is a plus.
  • Office Duties. Performs office jobs in a small department including, but not limited to: answering phones, scheduling patients’ exams, printing reports, retrieving charts, researching problems, ordering supplies, copying and mailing exams to various facilities, and helping providers. Collaborates with SEARHC staff to create a positive working environment.
  • Documentation of QA and QC for SEARHC imaging modalities. Documents: high level disinfection, and other information per Joint Commission regulations.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associates degree with certification in diagnostic sonography.
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program preferred

Experience:

  • 1 year Ultrasound experience

License and Certifications:

  • ARDMS or ARRT certified or registration eligible

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge of the anatomy and physiology used in standard ultrasound

Skills

  • Skilled at independently performing ultrasound. 
  • Skilled in oral and written communication. 
  • Skilled in organizing and cleaning work areas and maintaining equipment in serviceable condition.

Abilities

  • Able to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with radiologists, providers, patients, computer technologists, and SEARHC staff.
