Job Overview:

This position can be located in any SEARHC location. The Marketing Specialist provides support for projects of differing complexity undertaken by the Marketing leadership team. This position specializes in planning, managing, and executing projects related to marketing campaigns. It is complex with an organization-wide impact in balancing project demands with stakeholder needs. Projects may include areas such as account management, internal and external signage, printing and deliverable coordination, and strategic communications. The Marketing Specialist is a key SEARHC liaison, with multiple internal collaborators and external partners.

Responsibilities:

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for organizing and managing the marketing requests for the organization. This position coordinates schedules and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget, and regular status reporting.  The Marketing Specialist will:

 

  • Responsible for all social media platforms, content, design and kept up to date.
  • Lead project management efforts efficiently through processes including conducting research and analysis, soliciting stakeholder inputs, developing strategic recommendations, and executing requests.
  • Provides conceptual and creative recommendations for assigned marketing and public relations projects; writes, proofs, and edits communication pieces for internal and external audiences including, but not limited to, articles and editorials, brochures, fliers, direct mail inserts, calendars, annual reports, responses to proposals, and print, radio, and television advertisements.
  • Assist in the development of marketing and public relations plans and marketing strategies and tactics and makes recommendations to supervisor regarding media selection and planning.
  • As assigned, act as direct point of contact between the marketing team and other departments and divisions within the Consortium, providing effective direction to ensure expectations are properly managed.
  • Advise internal clients in the development of external communications strategies that support the overall strategic direction of SEARHC.
  • Work closely with agency partners to maintain a consistent brand voice.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate communication regarding work status and deliverables are provided.
  • Maintains awareness of marketing and hospital industry regulatory issues and changes in technology.
  • Meet and manage internal and external deadlines. Manage and coordinate the day-to-day efforts for assigned projects.
  • Lead project meetings including scheduling, developing, and distributing meeting agendas, and managing meeting notes and follow-up items.
  • Represent SEARHC at community events as requested.

Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

 

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required.

Experience:  

  • At least two years demonstrated progressive, relevant experience that includes project development and management, program planning, development and implementation, strategic communications, budget and financial processes, advanced word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Public Relations, Communications, Healthcare or Hospitality experience required.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication, able to deliver clear and concise information tailored to specific and varied audiences.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized, ensuring quality and consistent output.
  • Ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment, management multiple projects and resources with competing priority and timelines, innovate and learn new tools and processes.
  • Collaborative working style, independent, detail oriented, ready to take ownership, self-starter.
  • Ability to travel when needed.
