Job Overview:

The role of the Lawson Systems Analyst is to provide operational management of SEARHC’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) information systems in support of core business functions and processes. Support and collaborate with key stakeholders including Finance, Payroll, Purchasing and Human Resources staff. Maintain ERP software infrastructure. Identify, communicate and resolve system issues. Support the collection, integration, extraction, analysis and reporting of information.

 

Diagnose, analyze and resolve complex ERP system and process problems. Manage and maintain ERP systems to ensure responsive, reliable operation. Plan, test and implement ERP system upgrades. Produce timely and accurate financial information required to effectively and efficiently manage business operations. Research, recommend and implement new systems, functionality and processes. Communicate with technical and non-technical individuals to promote the use of technology. Maintain effective relationships with all levels of employees, vendors and contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, develop, implement and support ERP systems in support of core clinical services and key business functions
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness, efficiency and integration of existing ERP systems and develop strategies for enhancing, improving or further leveraging system functionality and interoperability.                 
  • Acquire a comprehensive knowledge of financial and business processes and supporting information systems. Ensure information compatibility, interoperability and integration. Review and analyze system efficiency, and develop strategies for process and system improvements.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships and regular communication with executive management, department heads and end users to ensure quality services and customer satisfaction. Work closely with stakeholders in order to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support technology solutions to key business processes and clinical services. 
  • Create and maintain documentation on operational processes, ERP system configuration and setup, report generation, etc.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration or related field, OR the knowledge, skill and ability to perform the key responsibilities of the position. A high degree of knowledge regarding information technology is required to perform the majority of tasks involved in this position.

Experience

  • Four years experience supporting and maintaining three or more of the following Lawson. applications: LBI, Smart Notifications and Dashboards, LBP, Lawson Core Technology, LSF, Process flow, MSCM; or five years experience with a closely related ERP system.
  • Two years work experience writing SQL queries or other related scripting language.
  • One year experience with Crystal Reports or similar report writing tool.
  • One year work experience Oracle or MS SQL Server database administration.
  • One year work experience Unix or MS Windows Server system administration.

License/Certification

  • Lawson System Administration; Foundation Specialist Certification; Database Administration Certification.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge 

  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems including database and system administration, data analytics, and stakeholder support.
  • Advanced knowledge of principals and processes used in financial and core business functions.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, Privacy Act and computer security.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Advanced word processing, spreadsheet and ad hoc reporting skills.
