    Job Overview:

    The Alicia Roberts Medical Center, Klawock, Alaska on Prince of Wales Island, (island population ~ 5,000) is seeking a highly qualified, compassionate, energetic nurse practitioner or physician assistant to be part of the primary care medical team of 3 physicians and 3 mid-level providers. 

     

    Prince of Wales Island is the 4th largest island in the United States and offers an incredible opportunity for salt and fresh water fishing, hunting, gardening, and outdoor adventure. 

     

    The practice serves as a primary medical hub for the island and has a challenging and diverse mix of routine and emergency care.  Providers participate in shared after-hours call and must be comfortable treating and stabilizing patients in urgent/emergent situations. The clinic is part of the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC), a Native-run healthcare organization serving communities throughout Southeast Alaska since 1975. 

    Qualifications:

    License/Certification

    • State of Alaska Medical License as an NP or PA
    • Board Certified in specialty by accrediting body
    • Maintains active unrestricted DEA registration
    • Maintains active, unrestricted SEARHC medical staff privileges
    • BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, ALSO (or similar obstetrical life safety risk management training) required within one year of start date.
